Chocolates' Elegant Packaging Elevates the Cannabis Experience

Image
Coda Signature’s edibles draw inspiration from classical music and classic chocolate to convey luxury similar to traditional high-end brands like Godiva and Lindt.   What distinguishes Coda Signature’s luxury chocolates from other high-end offerings is that the pouches, bars, and boxed products are cannabis-infused edibles.  The brand’s packaging is inspired by both classical music and classic chocolate and is similar to traditional chocolate brands like Godiva and Lindt.  Founded in 2015, Coda Signature operates in Colorado, though it was compelled to shift their packaging strategies due to regulations when they launched into California. For example, Coda Signature offers cannabis-infused truffles, and California doesn't allow mixing multiple varieties of a cannabis product in one box; unlike traditional boxes of chocolate, each of Coda Signature's truffle boxes contains one flavor.  Kevin Roff, Product Development Manager, Coda Signature, discusses the brand’s ...

The designers still left behind by the Government’s coronavirus support packages

On 26 March the UK was given its fourth Budget statement of the month. Reacting to mounting calls for support, chancellor Rishi Sunak announced the government would begin paying the country’s five million self-employed workers 80% of their average wage up to £2,500, in a bid to further mitigate the effects of the coronavirus pandemic on the UK’s businesses. Sunak accompanied the message with an assurance: that the UK’s self-employed and freelance workers would not be “left behind” as the country continues to lockdown in its fight against COVID-19. The promise of parity between employees and the self-employed was welcome news for many. But as others are now learning, the measures are not as wide-reaching as necessary and thousands now face the reality of no government support as business dwindles. Job Retention Scheme vs. SEISS There are some notable holes in Sunak’s support package, the biggest and perhaps most glaring being its omission of personal service companies. For self-em...

How the Coronavirus Will Change Travel

Image
Posted : 03/31/20 | March 21st, 2020 On a breezy fall morning, I was walking home from my university’s humanities department after trying to get out of my Spanish language requirement to no avail. On the way, I ran into one of my roommates. He mentioned he had heard that a small plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. By the time I got home and turned on the TV, both towers were on fire and it was clear this was much more than a small plane gone off course. In the days and weeks following September 11th, the world changed. Even to my young self, I could feel in my bones that nothing would ever be the same again. There was a pre-9/11 world and we were now forever in a post-9/11 world. While the later 2008 financial crisis changed the economy and our views on money, 9/11 seemed to change who we fundamentally were as people. It created a shift in thinking and our sense of self. It changed how we Americans viewed the world. There was a “lost innocence.” As the Coronavirus has ...
